SEO stands for “search engine optimization.” It is the process of getting traffic from the “free,” “organic,” “editorial” or “natural” listings on search engines. All major search engines such as Google, Yahoo and Bing have such results, where web pages and other content such as videos or local listings are shown and ranked based on what the search engine considers most relevant to users. Payment isn’t involved, as it is with paid search ads

One name which stands most inseparable from successful online business is SEO. Unless your business site is properly optimized and well marketed you can’t think of its success. Well optimized and well marketed site gets you huge number of targeted audiences who don’t just come to have a look at your site and click away instead they stay for a long while and respond to your call to action which can be anything like buying, registering, donating, contacting you, participating in a contest, or simply bookmarking your page, whatever it might be but if your audiences don’t respond to it, the traffic is but real waste..

Why does your site need a proper SEO?

Greater part of web traffic landing on any webpage actually comes from the major commercial search engines which include the search engine giant Google, Yahoo! and Bing. And if your site is not findable on these search engines or is not present with them in their databases, sorry to say you lose out a really outstanding opportunity.

And as you just saw the role of SEO in enhancing the visibility of your site making it more easily searchable and thus fetching you the right audience, you just can’t deny its importance in rescuing your business site from getting lost among hundreds and thousands of other sites in your niche.
Do the Search Engines not search your site without SEO?

Well, the Search Engines Do Search your site on their own but in a Limited Way and when all the other sites have optimized themselves properly, your site gets lost among them. No user ever tries going on to the next page of Search Engine Result Pages and thus if you miss out the opportunity of being on the first page or within the top ten results, you’ll surely miss out an incredible number of visitors and of course your potential customers in them.
